Offering traditional takeaway or sit in food such as burgers and chips, sausage and chips, with a licensed bar or hot drinks availabe you can stay on the beach as long as the sunshines. Wayne Willetts  produces beautifully crafted surfboard mirrors, furniture and surf art from his converted pigsty in Dorset, UK. Wayne's work is all hand finished and individual. Like waves on the sea, no two are ever the same. Wayne also has a design your own service to create mirrors for your individual taste so that you can create a piece that is personal to you or whoever you might be purchasing it for. Maybe you would like to choose existing characters or create your own

Learn to surf...the only way you can really understand what all the fuss is about is to get some gear and get wet!!   That’s where we can help.  Surf Steps, Bournemouth Surf School, situated on Bournemouth beach, 500m from Boscombe pier, is the only Surfing GB (SGB) Centre of Excellence based on the South Coast, and the closest to London.  All our instructors are CRB checked and BSA Accredited Professional Surf Instructors with many years of experience.  We offer a selection of different courses to suit all levels and requirements.

Surf Steps, Bournemouth Surf School only sell surf lessons so we have no retail motivations, we believe it is a privilege to teach surfing. Whatever the weather, (as long as the red flags are not flying!) our main focus is to give students a safe, satisfying, surfing experience. We pride ourselves on our ability to professionally teach the skills of surfing and instill in students a healthy respect and awareness of the beautiful yet powerful Ocean.

Boscombe has the best mile of beach out of the 7 mile stretch from Poole/Sandbanks to Hengistbury head/Southbourne.

The mile is filled with water sports including kayaking, paddleboarding, surfing, body boarding and wind surfing. Experienced kite surfers also can be seen plus we have paragliders hoovering aboe when the therms are good. A fabulous place for couples, singles or families with places to chill out.

 

Hot showers, cafes, restuarants and bars plus a small beach shop gives it the old charm with a modern twist.

During the summer months Boscombe Beach Community project will be holding Boscombe Bob's puppet shows. Fun and entertaining the 10 minute shows have a lesson for every child to learn, from getting lost and found on the beach, not taking lilos outi n rough weather to ignoring the wind socks and flags.

 

Come along to the area just outside Coasters to the East of the pier and meet Boscombe Bob, Sandy Beach, Curly Cale, Laura Litter, Lenny the lifeguard, Roger the Ranger and Mr GOM (Grumpy Old Man)
