Boscombe Spa Resort Ltd is a membership-based group of hotel and guesthouse owners who share a commitment to highest possible standards of service and value to their guests.

This means that we are able to be proactive in achieving a good name and reputation for the resort. This is good news for you the visitor and good for our businesses.

We only invite hotels and guest houses to join us provided they can comply with our exacting standards:

  • Polite welcome/departure
  • Assistance with luggage to the room
  • Correct bills at the end of the guests stay
  • The establishment is cleaned and vacuumed daily.
  • Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and vacuumed on a daily basis
  • Public areas are kept clean and tidy and clear of obstructions
  • Hotels comply with the current health and safety legislation. Hold a valid gas certificate and NIC certificate
  • All bedrooms offer space and comfort with reasonable circulation to beds, height to allow a 6ft person to move around in the major part of the rooms
  • Beds and pillows must have protectors. Blankets and extra pillows must be offered in the rooms
  • Beds made daily unless otherwise stated to guests. All bed linen changed after four nights stay and for all new guests
  • Bunk beds not acceptable for adult letting
  • Cots must be health and safety checked if offered.
  • All windows in bedrooms must have correctly fitted opaque curtains are blinds.
  • Folders in rooms offering information on how to summon staff in an emergency at night. Offering details of local hospital, dentists, doctors and police.
  • All bulbs in the rooms must be covered by shades, fully covered in bathrooms. There must be adequate light e.g. 160watts single room and £220 watts for a double room.
  • All rooms should have adequate central heating or a means to heat the room from a separate appliance which must have been tested
  • Kettles, if beverages supplied, must not be used at floor level.
  • The hotel must be in a good state of repair, gardens and grounds kept tidy and maintained. Good state of decoration throughout the building.
  • No more than 4 guests using a public bathroom where en suites are not available.
  • Hot water at reasonable times
  • Colour TV provided in all bedrooms unless otherwise stated

Each hotel must have a complaint procedure in place and be prepared to deal with any issues swiftly and efficiently

Boscombe Spa Resort Ltd have no control over complaints about premises, however if there are continuous problems with an establishment we have the right to ask this establishment to leave the membership.

Guest reviews on various sites are continually monitored.
